Agricultural & Natural Resource
The goal of Agricultural & Natural Resource programs is to create opportunities for local citizens to use resources wisely to create and maintain economic enterprises that enhance the local economy

    Objectives
  • Encourage the use of safe and efficient practices in the production of agricultural crops and horticultural enterprises such as citrus and livestock production and environmental landscape management
  • Train and update pesticide applicators with licenses and pest management recommendations
  • Encourage conservation of aquatic and other natural resources
  • Aid the development of sustainable agribusiness and environmental horticulture enterprises to enrich the county's economic base

Family & Consumer Science programs
The goal of Family & Consumer Science programs is to encourage personal resource management skills among county residents.

    Objectives
  • Assist new residents in adapting to their new environment
  • Encourage the wise use of financial and other consumer resources
  • Develop teen/parent coping skills and support systems
  • Encourage independence through skill development
  • Protect homes and buildings from nuisance factors such as mildew and indoor structural pests

4-H Youth development program
The goal of the 4-H Youth development program is to assist the community in developing responsible adults.

    Objectives
  • Improve leadership skills, self confidence, and good citizenship behavior
  • Impart life-skills through 4-H completion
  • Enrich school curriculum by providing resources and programs to teachers and volunteers in areas such as safety, gardening, clothing and textiles
